  • Hi, I’m Brooks Wisniewski (he/him)! I’m from Milwaukee, WI, but for my senior year, I’m studying french horn at Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan.

I attended VIA Academy for its first two inaugural years. It was through their program that I was able to receive a grant to make the “Inclusive Artists Movement” possible.

The classical music industry’s members and its audience are currently dominated by wealthy cisgender white men that exclusively play cisgender white men’s works. I believe that everybody should be able to give, create, and experience music; not just those who can afford it.

This is why I decided to create the Inclusive Artists Movement. I want to do what I can to make music more inclusive and accessible, and I think that this benefit concert is a great start.
