Music Moves Musicians
This fundraiser is in partnership with Miami Music Project and is raising money for the students’ transportation who attend their programs and activities.
2023 Benefit Concert:
When: Sunday, April 2 at 4pm
Where: Christ Congregational Church
14920 SW 67th Ave
Palmetto Bay, FL 33158

The whole purpose of this concert is to raise awareness to the challenges Miami Music Project musicians have with transportation.
I organized a few chamber groups that consisted of Miami musicians to perform a concert to raise money for those who want to follow the same path of passion for music and performing, but who face challenges with money/transportation.

My name is Yliana Perez, I’m in 10th grade, I go to New World School of the Arts for clarinet. I attended the 2022 VIA summer program and was awarded the community project fellowship.
I chose to support Miami Music Project because I personally understand the struggle of being offered amazing opportunities, just like MMP is with their students, and not being able to attend due to the lack of money for transportation.
-
My goal is to raise $2,000 to support Miami Music Project in purchasing metro cards and possibly a shuttle bus for their younger students to get to their programs. Every dollar donated will go straight to the students’ bus fares ,which is $2.10 round trip. Counting the days of MMP’s schedule, each students’ yearly transportation will round out to about $220 per student each year.
Make a donation.
If you were to donate it’ll help a lot of students begin their musical journeys. To start off, the students will go beyond the bus ticket and wonder through all their opportunities and priceless activities offered to them. This will then allow them to learn the way of music from amazing guest artists, personally grow their character, and create rich relationships and connections, which will come in handy in future job applications.
